Peeka provides playful visitors, surprise animations and optional mini games. All extension processing described below happens on your device. Peeka does not send user data to USdrawing or third parties and contains no advertising, analytics, accounts or remote executable code.
Peeka checks the current page address or hostname to determine whether it can display overlays and whether you muted that site. Only hostnames you explicitly mute are saved as site preferences. It does not build a record of your browsing history. Timing, pause preferences, recent scene and character identifiers, and the next scheduled visit are saved in Chrome extension local storage.
Peeka handles pointer position and keyboard or editing activity locally so visitors can react, visits can wait while you type, and games can respond to controls. It does not read form field values, record typed text, or keep a log of keys, pointer movements or clicks. Temporary input state is used only for the current interaction.
Only when you choose the heading-jump game, Peeka reads heading labels and their positions from the current page to construct game platforms. Labels and positions stay in memory for that game and are not saved to persistent storage or transmitted.
Games run locally. Peeka uses the browser's online/offline indication without sending connectivity probes. The optional stop-when-online choice is held in memory for the current game.
Peeka does not sell or transfer user data, use it for unrelated purposes, or use it for creditworthiness or lending. In-memory interaction and game data is discarded when the relevant session ends or the page closes. Local preferences remain until changed, cleared through Chrome, or removed when you uninstall the extension.
You can pause surprises, change timing, mute or unmute sites, close overlays with Escape, manage extension site access, or uninstall Peeka in Chrome.
